Isn't nesting for birds?

I was thinking today that I should start getting the house ready for JJ's arrival. (as we are not sure when that will be) I made a list of things that I thought I could handle cleaning with the "bed rest" thing in the back of my mind.  Here goes the list of things I accomplished today:
  1.  Wash JJ's clothes (seems like a no brainer)
  2.  Do the dishes, and organize the cabinets while sitting in a chair. Well....this didn't work out quite this way. I am not a giant and the cabinets are obviously taller then a chair! GENIUS! I could barely reach into the sink.
  3. Change the sheets on the bed, well this had failure written all over it from the beginning.  Once the clean warm sheets were on the bed how could I not take a nap!! DUH!
                                           THREE HOURS LATER
4.) Well......I went looking for the list and Kylie had draw what she says was a         "waterfall" ALL over it!! So I made a pizza and watched 3 episodes of Intervention.

I guess the "nesting" bug really came to visit me this time.  When I was pregnant with Kylie it must have missed my house because I was OK with the brown ring in the toilet.  I thought it was suppose to look like that.  Oh well, things in the Battle house are finally coming together. Here's hoping JJ stays cooking until past the new year, I squished that little nesting bug when I plopped back down on the couch!! (the right side today folks! :)

Thoughts from the left side of the couch.

I have decided to write a blog to keep family and friends in the loop of whats going on in my life (more like whats not going on in my life) I have been on bed rest almost 4 weeks now and must say I have had more fun visiting the dentist.  I must admit the first few days were great, watching TV, eating all day (shocking to those who know me best), and napping every other hour. I really thought this wasn't going to be that bad.  Now its a whole different story.  I am out of television shows to watch, I have an empty fridge, and my ass I'm sure looks similar to a pancake. All jokes aside JJ is doing great and that's ultimately what matters in the end.
This past weekend my BF threw me a baby shower.  WOW!! I am sure lucky to have such a great friend in my life.  It was so nice to get out of the house and socialize with adults.  I mean it's fun talking to Kylie about my problems, but she always seems to think chocolate milk or taking a dump will solve them.  Oh I love my three year old. She has sure been a trooper through this whole process.  She now knows how to rub feet and change the channel on the TV.  Oh I am such a good mom! Lets not forget to mention my AMAZING husband.  Without getting too mushy, he has sure been great.  Sometimes he looks at me and I'm just waiting for him to say, call me when this baby gets here I'M DONE!! When I cry because my ice melted in my glass, or because I cant see my feet, he is there to make me laugh.  Truly Blessed with him. I must say my life isn't so bad, and it really is because of all the amazing support that I have.
